Established: 2008 in Kalamata, Greece

Main purpose:

• To create quality learning opportunities for youth and adults
• to develop educational and social structures in the local community.
• to offer opportunities for personal and social development through skills’ development, socio-educational activities and non-formal education.

And of course we are trying to make all of the above be an enjoyable and fun experience!

K.A.NE. has 3 main departments:

1. Research & Development

Our R&D department is developing innovative educational material and methodologies for teachers, educators, social workers, youth workers and many more. It holds a long experience, managing more than 50 projects and a network of 200 collaborators (universities, municipalities, schools, private entities, NGOs and corporate world)

2. Education & Training

This department is responsible for the international learning mobility programmes. With an experience of more than 5000 learning mobilities, funded under various projects, it can ensure the quality services for every individual and institution

3. Youth

K.A.NE. was the first organisation in Greece which developed structured youth work tools and services. We created the first private youth center in the country, which since creation, included more than 10000 young people in socio-educational activities. In parallel we created the Kalamata Street Festival, which now is one of the biggest arts and music festivals in southern Greece.
