From Tension to Trust: Non-Formal learning Tools for Collaborative Classrooms

Transform classroom challenges into opportunities for growth and connection. This training course equips teachers and educators with non-formal tools to build trust, manage group dynamics, and foster empathy and collaboration in learning communities.

Description

This training course helps teachers and educators transform classroom tensions into opportunities for growth, connection, and learning.

Using non-formal education tools, participants will explore how to strengthen group dynamics, manage crises, and create an atmosphere of trust and cooperation. Beyond improving classroom well-being, the course invites educators to see every learning group as a micro-community — a space where empathy, respect, and solidarity are practiced daily.

Participants will leave equipped with practical activities and a renewed understanding of education as community building.

Methods Used

The course is based on experiential and non-formal learning methodologies:

  • Interactive group activities and role-play simulations
  • Reflection and peer-to-peer feedback
  • Case studies and real-life classroom scenarios
  • Creative teamwork and trust-building exercises
  • Debriefing and guided reflection sessions

These participatory tools ensure a balance between theory, hands-on practice, and personal insight.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

  • Manage classroom tensions and conflicts constructively
  • Strengthen group cohesion and mutual respect among students
  • Facilitate group processes using experiential learning techniques
  • Create inclusive classroom environments grounded in empathy and cooperation
  • Promote solidarity and shared responsibility as everyday values in learning communities
