This course is for non-formal learning instructors and teachers interested in learning about non-formal learning techniques using natural clay as a base material. Clay is a material that is generously given to us by nature, comes from the beginning of human civilization and is found in all lengths and widths without recognizing borders and distinctions. In this seminar, participants will experiment and explore the use of clay in ice breaking, group building, team empowerment activities indoors and outdoors.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
Through this course, the participants will learn from experts and get hands-on experience in the challenges of non-formal learning through the use of natural clay. Participants will:
– Become familiar with tools and techniques of non-formal education.
– Explore the possibilities and techniques of working with natural clay.
– Experiment indoor and outdoor play with clay workshops.
– Develop group leading and team building skills.
– Increase their imagination and explore improvisation through land art.
– Learn techniques to create a safe space for their groups to discover aspects of themselves, to relax, to have fun, to concentrate.
– Enhance their creativity.
STANDARD DAILY PROGRAM
Day 1:
Participants arrival
Orientation and Icebreaking/Group building activities
Getting to know our working space and materials
Day 2:
Introduction to natural clay as a non-formal educational tool
Understanding the possibilities of natural clay
Experiment clay sensory play
Day 3:
Introduction to clay play theory
Get familiar with indoor natural clay activities
Plan and develop indoor no formal educational tools through clay play theory
Day 4:
Introduction to land art theory.
Get familiar with outdoor natural clay activities.
Plan and develop outdoor no formal educational tools through land art theory.
Day 5:
Final evaluation and learning assessment

The training course will take place in Kalamata, Peloponnese region in the south of Greece for 3 Rounds:
